This is a starter template and should receive legal review before launch. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer.
Account details (name, email), authentication data via Supabase Auth, billing details via Stripe (we never store card numbers ourselves), and the video URLs and project metadata you submit.
To operate your account, process payments, enforce plan limits, provide support, and — once connected — to run the video processing pipeline you request.
A referral link passes a signed reference to the signup form so we can attribute a new account to the referrer. Once recorded, attribution persists for future eligible payments. This feature does not add a tracking cookie. Referrers see earnings and anonymous payment activity, not referred customers’ email addresses or payment details. Withdrawal bank details are encrypted at rest and available only to authorised payout operators for verification and payment. Referral and payout records are retained for accounting, dispute and fraud prevention purposes.
We share data with service providers strictly to operate the platform: Supabase (database/auth), Stripe (payments), and our email provider (transactional email only). We do not sell personal data.
Project settings and unfinished clip text may be saved in your browser’s local storage to help recover edits after a reload. Drafts are separated by account, stay on that device and are restored for up to seven days. Device storage can be cleared in your browser settings. Clip text saves to your account when auto-save is enabled or you select Save; a project draft does not start processing by itself.
Account and project data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion from your Settings page.
If you choose to connect YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, we store the account or channel identifier, display name, granted permissions and encrypted access credentials needed for the connection. These credentials stay on the server. We use them to identify your chosen destination and, when publishing is available, to send the video and caption you explicitly select. Connecting an account alone does not publish anything.
YouTube access is requested to identify your connected channel and upload selected videos. TikTok access is requested for basic account information and creator-controlled video posting. Instagram access is requested for basic professional-account information and Reels publishing. We do not request access to your messages or contacts. Platform publishing is subject to the platform's approval and your account permissions.
Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the user-facing connection and publishing features you request. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models. ClipForge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Disconnect a platform in Publishing → Connections to remove its stored account credentials from ClipForge. You may also revoke ClipForge's access in the platform's own account settings. This does not delete posts you already published. See our data deletion instructions to request removal of your account data.
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support.
